The Cologne-Prague Workshop will be hosted this year by the Astrophysik Kiel group at the  Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel.  The idea of the meeting is to strengthen the relations between the Cologne and Prague  group, and to establish crosslinks to the SFB956: Conditions and Impact of Star Formation -  Astrophysics, Instrumentation and Laboratory Research and the Astrophysik Kiel group.  The meeting is supported by the DFG and the participating institutes.  Kiel is the capital city of the northernmost of the 16 German states, Schleswig-Holstein,with  almost 250.000 inhabitants. It is a port city on the Baltic Sea, and the largest German cruise  harbour. It is located about 90 km northeast of Hamburg, and about 60 km south of the  German-Danish border.  Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel (CAU or University of Kiel, for short) has been founded  in 1665. Today it is a university offering a full suite of schools to about 25.000 students.  The workshop will be held in one of the lecture rooms (Room 309) of the Physics Center of  CAU.
